Rinkal's Garlic Peanut Chutney

This quick and easy recipe is great to use up any excess garlic in your kitchen that's growing green sprouts! Just make sure you chop the sprouts before using them.

Equipment

  • blender
  • knife
  • cutting board
  • mortar and pestle
  • sterilised jar or container

Ingredients

  • 250 g Peeled Garlic Make sure you cut off any green sprout
  • 50 g Red Chilli Powder
  • 50 g Salt
  • 50 g Peanuts Great to hide the strong taste and smell of garlic
  • 25 g Sesame Seeds
  • 2 tbsp Olive Oil
  • 2 tbsp Lemon Juice

Instructions

  • Chop garlic into chunks
  • Grind peanuts and sesame seeds together using mortar and pestle
  • Mix all of the rest of ingredients together using blender until combined
  • Store in a sterilised, air tight jar or container

Notes

The dry chutney can be stored for up to 6 months on your counter, or even longer in the fridge. Great with rice, chapati, curried, and daal.
